Filson Dry Backpack

The Filson Dry Backpack keeps your gear dry, even when fully submerged. Built with tough 840-denier nylon tarpaulin fabric coated with thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), water simply cannot penetrate it. Lightweight, flexible, and resists abrasions, chemicals, and ultraviolet light, this backpack will endure use for many, many years to come.

Surely water can seep in? No. The seams are radio-frequency welded, permanently fusing fabric layers together. In fact, this is the same method in manufacturing white-water rafting gear. Further, all webbing and padding are securely stitched to an additional layer of the waterproof fabric, which is then RF-welded to the bag&rsquos body. And with the top rolled down three turns and snugly buckled with side-cinch straps, water cannot enter the bag.

But is it comfortable? Yes. The breathable back panel is padded with high-density EVA foam for carrying comfort, and the adjustable, padded shoulder straps are anatomically curved to match the shape of your body.

Is it convenient though? Yes. D-rings were added to the shoulder straps to allow you to easily attach a GPS, whistles, or anything else you need instant access to. The front of the pack sports a zippered expandable-mesh pocket and the interior a mesh zipper-security pocket. The roll-top closure is not only reliable but affords the ability to compress the bag for varying load sizes.

The Filson Dry Backpack is rugged enough to take on any bold adventure. Strapped to the tail of a motorcycle, stowed on a roof rack, tossed into a boat, or on the back of a snowmobile, it will keep your gear dry as a desert.
